Description
Zina D H Young was the third general president of the Relief Society and served from 1888 – 1901. Her mother died in the expulsion from Missouri, and her father died in the expulsion from Nauvoo. She gave birth to her first baby in a wagon as she headed west to Salt Lake. She and her husband had 2 sons, but they did not remain together and she became a plural wife of Brigham Young. She lived in Salt Lake City all her life.
