This beautiful painting captures the sense of charity and warmth which is associated with the work of Sarah Granger Kimball working by her window sewing and repairing shirts for those working to build the Temple. In her window you can see the Nauvoo Temple under construction in the distance. Sarah Granger Kimball was a woman who played a vital role in establishing the female Relief Society of Nauvoo, a mighty organization dedicated to charitable acts and individual development. Today the Relief Society of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints carries on Sarah’s touching and powerful legacy.
