The Kirtland Temple was Dedicated on March 27, 1836 by Joseph smith, this 15,000sq. ft temple was the first temple built by early Latter-day Saint pioneers. Now owned and operated by the Commmunity of Christ (formerly known as RLDS) this temple receives tens of thousands of visitors each year and hold 50-60 worshop services and educational events each year. The temple is listed as a National Historic Landmark in Kirtland, OH and is on the eastern edge of Cleveland, OH metropolitan area.
