"Woman At The Tomb" - By William-Adolphe Bouguereau - Mark 16: 4-5 But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed. This piece is printed on high quality Museum Giclee Canvas.

This painting vividly depicts the emotion and love that these women had for the Savior.

ARTIST: William-Adolphe Bouguereau (1825-1905) was a French painter that gained particular popularity in the United States and received high prices for his work.  Bouguereau was a teacher closely associated with the Académie Julian and taught drawing and painting to students from all over the world.  In the 1980's there was a revival of classic figure painting and an interest in Bouguereau's work blossomed again.
