Hyrum Smith’s greatest contribution to the Restoration may have been his support of his brother Joseph, which aided the Prophet’s ability to carry out his work. Joseph counted on Hyrum in virtually every important endeavor. Hyrum has been described as having the mildness of a lamb, and the integrity of Job.
D&C 124:15 says: “Blessed is my servant Hyrum Smith; for I, the Lord, love him because of the integrity of his heart and because he loveth that which is right before me”
