A delicious homemade holiday gift, these sweet and spicy orange nuts make a great addition to any party spread. They also make a healthy snack.

Nonstick cooking spray

1 1/2 tablespoons orange zest

2 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice

1 large egg white

1 1/2 cups raw, unsalted pecans

1 1/2 cups raw, unsalted almonds

2 tablespoons dark brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt

1 tablespoon chili powder

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/4 teaspoon ground allspice

1/2 cup dried cranberries
Directions:
Line a lPreheat oven to 250 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the orange zest, orange juice, and egg white. Stir in the pecans and almonds and toss to coat.
In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, salt, and remaining spices. Add to the nut mixture and toss to coat all nuts.
Spread nut mixture in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake on the top rack of the oven for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from the oven, stir in cranberries, and let cool. Transfer to storage or gift containers.
