The 2nd Annual Mulholland MusicFest will hit the former Nauvoo Grade School grounds on Saturday May 27th with a bang. New acts along with a few repeating acts will fill the air with great sounds from 4pm on. The Warsaw High School Jazz Band kicks off the show at 4:00 followed by the unique musical group the Lemmings. Kaylee McGhghy will perform the National anthem and then the music starts right back up. The faith group Overcometh will start the 2nd half off followed by the duo of Dallas Kraus and Dominic Jones. Repeat act from our first show the ever popular hometown musician Cole Pezley takes the stage. Cole studied philosophy and classic guitar at Millikin University after graduating from high school here in 2002. He currently lives in Chicago and performs regularly in Chicago clubs with his band the Icarians. New this year is Luke Schwan another Nauvoo native that has extended his music beyond high school. He lives in Oshkosh, Wisconsin and like Cole plays the club scene pretty regular as well. We can expect a little classic rock, blues, country and some funk along with some original works. The group to finish off the night is a return group plus one…Aaron Kennedy and Jonathan O’Neal wowed everyone last year and now have added Isaac Temple to round out there group. They call themselves the Hellcat Trio from Boston, Mass. and started playing after meeting up at Berkley College of Music. They will blast out 50’s rock-n-roll, rockabilly and blues. Their diverse backgrounds and deep knowledge of music lets them speak the language of this old rock n roll music in a new way, delivering energetic performances that bring the 50’s rock into a modern dimension. If a few are up to it a possible jam session will end the evening.
