Salt Lake Temple Tin Type Photo

This amazing historic photo is actually reproduced on brushed tin as was done in the 1800's. This historic photo on tin is floated behind glass in an antiqued rubbed wooden frame. The outside dimensions of the frame are 5"x7". This impressive old photo from Mormon history is made so much more meaningful when seen on tin behind glass. You’ll love this historic image in your home or office.

History of Tintypes: The tintype process became very popular in United States during the civil war. They continued to enjoy significant use throughout the 19th century for photographs and other portraits, particularly by street photographers. The process is simply to put a photographic image on tin or other alloys.
